Author Guidelines
The Asian World Journal of Innovation in Agricultural Science and Technology (JIAST) invites researchers, practitioners, and scholars to submit original, high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of agricultural science and technology. To streamline the submission and publication process, authors are encouraged to follow these guidelines carefully.
1. Article Types
JIAST accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting new findings in agricultural science.
- Review Articles: Critical and comprehensive reviews summarising current knowledge on a topic.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of significant research findings or developments.
- Case Studies: Detailed analysis of specific instances in agricultural practice or policy.
2. Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through the JIAST online submission system. Authors will be required to register or log in, fill in all necessary information, and upload their manuscript and supporting files.
Submission Requirements:
- Completed manuscript in editable format (e.g., Microsoft Word)
- A cover letter briefly describing the manuscript’s relevance to JIAST
- Graphical abstract (optional but encouraged) for Original Research and Review Articles
- Supplementary materials, if any

3. Manuscript Preparation
Format and Style
Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) and double-spacing throughout. All pages should be numbered consecutively.
Structure of Manuscript
The manuscript should include the following sections:
- Title Page: Title, author names and affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
- Abstract: A concise summary (150–250 words) of the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Keywords: 4-6 relevant keywords to enhance article discoverability.
- Introduction: Background, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Materials and Methods: Detailed explanation of the methodologies used, allowing reproducibility.
- Results: Presentation of findings with supporting data.
- Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with prior research, and implications.
- Conclusion: Brief summary of findings and potential applications.
- Acknowledgments: Acknowledge funding sources, contributors, or institutions that supported the research.
- References: Follow a consistent citation style (e.g., APA or Vancouver) for all in-text citations and bibliography entries.
Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially and cited in the text.
- Each figure and table must have a concise title and legend.
- Figures should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) in formats like JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
4. Ethical Standards
Authors are required to adhere to ethical research practices, including:
- Plagiarism: Ensure that all content is original and properly cited.
- Authorship: Include only those who have made significant contributions to the work.
- Conflict of Interest: Disclose any financial or personal interests that may influence the research.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure accuracy in data reporting and adhere to ethical guidelines for data collection and analysis.
5. Plagiarism and Originality
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that contain plagiarized content will be rejected, and authors may be banned from future submissions to JIAST.
6. Peer Review Process
Submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review. Authors should ensure that the manuscript file is anonymized, with no identifying information in the text or file properties.
7. Post-Acceptance
Upon acceptance, articles proceed to copyediting, formatting, and publication. JIAST follows an open-access policy.
8. Copyright and Licensing
JIAST publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing users to share, adapt, and use the content with appropriate attribution to the authors and the journal.
9. Proofreading and Final Approval
Authors will receive page proofs for final review. Minor changes and corrections are expected at this stage. Authors are responsible for reviewing and approving the final version before publication.
10. Appeals and Corrections
Authors who wish to appeal a rejection or request corrections post-publication may contact the editorial board, providing valid reasons and supporting information.
